Tokyo Rebel Review

Last week  I got my first Angelic Pretty dress, Holy Night Story! I ordered it from Tokyo Rebel, a US store located in NY city. Because I live in CT it only took 3 days to get it (minus the weekend), maybe it would have been faster if it wasn't for snow.  Ordering from Tokyo Rebel is very enjoyable. Site is easy to navigate and they stay in touch well letting you know when they receive payment and when your items ship.  They also make it a fun experience just to open your box! Here is my journey.

Packing slip with small poster, also they gave me a AP sticker too.
This is the thank you note that was on top. I really like it when a merchant takes the time to write a personal note. You feel like you are a person not just another order number.
Everything was in a AP bag. This is my first brand bag! All the girls online talk about the things they've done with their bags now I have one.
Dress was in a garment bag which I really like. This is good to use in the future when I am traveling. They even sent it on a hanger...I needed more so this helps.
Dress was packed well, it didn't have that stuffed in a box look sometimes you get.

I also got an AP ring! I had to go all the way and get a bow and accessory to match.
All I can say is "Angelic Pretty I DO!"
I will defiantly order from Tokyo Rebel again! They are one of the best online experiences I had. I would love to visit their store front as well.
Check out their site now because they are having a AP sale! http://www.tokyorebel.com/

Lots of Dress Up

I have been trying to take the clothes I have and create new outfits. Here are the results from the past couple of weeks.
1/9/11:
Here I took a summer dress and wore in the cold. The sundress was made be my mother. Sweater is from Aero when I worked there 3 years ago. Necklace from Avon, I had to get it b/c it matched the print so well
 1/11/11
Dress and Blouse Bodyline. Coat is from Macy's last winter and fur hood/scarf is also from Avon.
 1/16/11
Shirt is from Charlotte Russe. Skirt is Bodyline, I love the Alice print. Candy pin was a gift when I placed an order from Glamasaurus. Hello Kitty watch to finish it off.
1/19/11
Skirt hand made from Cosplay 007 on ebay. Shirt was a gift for Christmas. It says "We're all mad here" Punked it out with combat boots and my Nana cosplay coat.

I hope you enjoyed the fashion show!

The Princess Code

A Princess inspires others to follow their hopes and dreams through pursuing her own. A Princess greets everyone with a welcoming smile, melting the hearts of friends and disarming her enemies.
A Princess has dignity, which protects her from the opinions and spite of ignorant people.
A Princess always looks beautiful, even when she is asleep.
A Princess aims for perfection in every step.
A Princess should be given fresh flowers everyday, even if she has to give them to herself.
A Princess grows in recognition and stature in proportion to how much she treats others as royalty.
A Princess reflect’s her inner beauty in her aesthetic choices.
A Princess goes to war against the violence of incivility with the weapons of etiquette and prodigal generosity.
A Princess lives each day from the heart, expressing herself freely and treasuring every moment.
A Princess has the right to spend her funds on beautiful things she does not need because beauty in itself is priceless.
A Princess should follow her heart and believe in her dreams, even if the whole world seems to be against her.
A Princess respects her environment and nurtures the beauty of nature.
A Princess is never too busy to give a kind word or smile where it is needed.
A Princess’s most precious jewel is Hope, which lights her darkest days and shows her the beauty in every soul she meets.

Share the Love

I am so grateful for the people who are in my life. They are the ones who make each day special for me and I truly enjoy telling them how much I love them. Sometimes it's just a simple text of "love ya" or even a little gift. I like doing this so much that I decided to pass it along. Here are some fun ways to say "I love you" to anyone special in your life.

Hidden Letters: I love doing this so much. You know that you have some cute stationary some where just begging to be used, why not give it to someone who matters.Don't have any? try Kawaii Gifts, they have tons of cute stationary. Tell them why you love them and how they change your life with the little things they do. Then the fun part is finding a way to secretly give it to them. Slip it into your friend's coat or purse the next time you hangout, sneak into your mom's room and tape it to her mirror, leave it on your father's dashboard in his car, place it on your significant others' dresser. Then wait, you'll know when they find it.

Small Crafts: I get very excited every time I do crafts, I don't know why. One of my favorite past times is cross stitching. At the moment I am working on an Easter egg for my Mom. Cross stitching is really simple and not very expensive. Just invest in some thread and a book of cute small patterns and you can make a lot of projects.Try going to A.C. Morre and picking up something like this . Some can only take one day to do, so they are a perfect way to say "Thank you" to a love one. Want something even simpler, color a picture. This may be childish but I know you friends and family will still love it. Leave a little saying on the bottom too, just like you did when you were little. "i LoVe MY daDDy" My friend Amy left me a lovely present of a Hello Kitty picture on my table just the other day. I hung it up and look at it all the time! How it still makes me smile!

Food is the way to Anyone's Heart: Get baking! I like to make my employees cupcakes whenever they do something really helpful for me or even when they seem down. Most baking is real simple and quick. No one will care if it's from a box, you took the time to make it for them. Then give it to them with your cute smile, and "just because." I promise this will brighten their day. Also you can invite them over for dinner. Be a good hostess and prepare ahead. Have a lovely table setting, take their coats, offer drinks, don't let them clean up. I love to do this for my parents, My mother goes over the top when I come over to visit and it makes me feel so loved so I try and pass it on to her when she visits me.

Spend the cash, Get them that gift: Who cares if it's not their Birthday or Christmas, did you see that little thing they would just love, pick it up. I love Strapya World for fun little cute things. Even take the time to wrap it! How surprised they will be when you walk in the door. Want to get them something and not sure what, try flowers. Sometimes I bring some when I see my Mom or Gramma.

Share your time together: You know that picture on the fridge or mirror of you and your BFF, why not take a copy place it in a decorated frame and give it to them. Show them that this memory is precious to you and you hope it's the same for them. I bet it is!

I hope you are inspired to go give a little gifts to the important people in your life. We all should know that we are important and loved by someone, why not do the same for someone else.

How do you say I care?

End of a year, The beginning of Forever

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
Wanted to wish everyone a happy new year! Lets take the time to to be thankful for the years we've had and face this next year with hope. Also lets make good challenges for ourselves to have more happy moments in this next year. Here is my suggestions:
-Finish on project you started before. My goal is to finish Jame's seascape cross stitch.
-Spend more time with your family. We are all busy but we need to remember that our family is what made us who we are. Show your parents, grandparents, siblings that you are grateful for them.
-Notice more magic each day. Watch it snow with out worrying about the roads, listen to a bird's song, see how a child laughs in their mother's arms, plant a flower and watch it grow, hold the hand of someone you love and notice how it fits just right, watch a fairytale and remember what it was like to just believe.
-Pull out something from your childhood and be a kid again. I get stressed out a lot about the responsibility of being an adult. Take a day and have tea with your old stuff animals. Put on your princess crown and grab your wand to be a fairy again. Let every things go and live in a moment of joy and peacefulness.
-Give something back. Donate to a charity. If you don't have the money, donate your time. Too many people struggle to live each day, help make their lives a little happier this year.
-Be happy!

My goals for 2011:
Favorite Outfit of 2010
-Become a better blogger.
-Start planing my own company
-Do more cross stitches
-Save to get more brand dresses
-See Disney fireworks
-Start my Japan fund
-Write real letters to my friends
-Make a new cosplay
-Attend more cons
-Improve my makeup skills
-Smile more
